With just four weeks before the industry gathers in Madrid, the organisers of the World Demolition Summit 2026 has announced the full programme details in a ‘Meet the speakers’ series of articles.
The Summit will bring together demolition and recycling specialists in Madrid from 3–5 November, with a conference programme focused on innovation, safety, sustainability and the growing role of material recovery.
Presentations will range from the complex removal of the steel liner from Canada’s Sudbury Superstack, the demolition of an elevated water tower and the transformation of Oslo’s former American Embassy through selective demolition to controlling squat risk of modern concrete stacks, and the use of robotics and AI to identify and recover reusable materials.
The programme also includes a keynote on the explosive demolition of two historic NASA test structures at Marshall Space Flight Center, alongside case studies on the dismantling of the Rheinbrücke-Neuenkamp bridge in Germany, circular demolition in Argentina, exclusion-zone management during the demolition of a 107m chimney in North Wales, and a Spanish project reporting an exceptionally high material recovery rate.
And finally, value creation through recycling will be put firmly under the spotlight with a dedicated panel discussion bringing industry voices together to examine the practical challenges and opportunities around recovering, processing and finding new uses for materials from demolition projects.
Places are limited, so register now for the World Demolition Summit 2026.
