The Swedish-based OEM – which produces drilling rigs, loaders, trucks, attachments, and more – says that the award reflects its commitment to and progress on its ambitious 2030 sustainability goals. Last year Epiroc was awarded a silver medal by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis evaluated more than 150,000 companies across four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

“This recognition reflects the hard work of our teams worldwide and our commitment to integrating sustainability into everything we do, from product innovation and operations to responsible sourcing,” says Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s President and CEO.

Epiroc’s rating highlights a strong performance across several sustainability areas. The company demonstrates environmental stewardship through continuous decarbonisation and resource-efficiency improvements. In the realm of labour and human rights, Epiroc is committed to maintaining safe, fair, and inclusive workplaces. Ethical governance is underpinned by robust compliance practices, and the company’s approach to sustainable procurement.

In 2020, Epiroc launched its ambitious sustainability goals for 2030, which include, among other things, to halve CO2 emissions.

Earlier this year, TIME Magazine for the second year in a row listed Epiroc among the world’s most sustainable companies.

Epiroc is ranked as one of the world’s biggest construction and mining OEMs by sales according to the Yellow Table. The full list can be viewed in the May-June issue of International Construction
