Kramer-Werke goes fully hydraulic
German manufacturer Kramer-Werke has unveiled a fully hydraulic quickhitch system so that spontaneous interruptions when changing attachments will no longer affect the scheduled work process.

Kramer_SmartAttach The Smart Attach system is aimed at providing versatility in line with customer requirements

An enhancement of its well-known quick change plate, the Smart Attach system will, according to Kramer, ensure greater productivity, efficiency and safety.

The company added that customer requirements have been a key focus, and the dimensions of both quickhitch systems are identical, so existing attachments can continue to be used.

Hydraulically driven attachments can be coupled with the new system without getting in and out of the vehicle, as connection with the hydraulic circuit is automatic.

The attachment is locked and hydraulically coupled, with automatic pressure release, by a simple touch of a button with a secure two-hand operation.

With the coupling unit’s integrated locking display (green), the operator can always see that the attachment is attached to the machine successfully and securely.

‘Heavy duty’ trommel handles C&D waste
Shredding and screening equipment manufacturer Edge Innovate has launched a new track mounted trommel suitable for construction and demolition waste processing.

The TRT620R trommel weighs 30 t and is powered by a Stage V compliant Cat C3.6 diesel engine.

According to the manufacturer, the model is designed for “heavy duty applications” and, in addition to construction and demolition waste, can be used with aggregates, commercial and industrial waste, green waste, sand, gravel and skip waste.

It is equipped with a 1050 mm (42 in) wide telescopic conveyor with a maximum discharge height of 3.2 m (10 ft 6 in) and incorporates a large capacity hopper and a 1,200 mm (48 in) wide feed conveyor with variable reverse and forward speed.

The TRT620R trommel features a remote operated, 180° radial fines conveyor that can “track, screen and stack material simultaneously”.

Higher cycle times with Cat pulverisers
Cat has launched a range of primary and secondary pulverisers that incorporates speed-enhancing technology and offers up to 52% higher cycle times and 26% improved performance when compared with its previous models.

The company’s next generation line of pulveriser attachments comprises three new primary models and three secondary models. They are designed for use with excavators weighing 18 to 50 t.

Now featuring Cat’s SpeedBooster technology – previously only available in the Cat Multi-Processors attachment range – the P318, P324 and P332 rotatable primary pulveriser models and the P218, P224 and P232 secondary models provide construction equipment operators with greater force concrete demolition.

Stay up to date with the D&Ri Buyers’ Guide
After several years as a successful print publication, the Demolition & Recycling International (D&Ri) Buyers’ Guide moved fully online in 2020 with a range of features to benefit equipment specifiers across the sector.

It combines easy navigation with full specs of demolition and recycling equipment, including the opportunity to filter products when searching for equipment that matches desired specifications – while its “Advanced Product Finder” allows the user to add extra filters as required.

Visitors can also store individual items of equipment under “Favourites” and view and compare them later through their profile.

You can find the D&Ri Buyers’ Guide at https://dribuyersguide.media
