Tech update increases demo rate of new Cat pulverisers

Premium Content

Cat has launched a new line of primary and secondary pulverisers that incorporates speed-enhancing technology, and offers up to 52% higher cycle times and 26% improved performance when compared with its previous models.

Cat next generation P224 secondary pulverizer

The company’s next generation line of pulversizer attachments comprises three new primary models and three secondary models, which are designed for use with excavators weighing 18 to 50 t.

Now featuring Cat’s SpeedBooster technology - previously only available in the Cat Multi-Processors attachment range - the P318, P324 and P332 rotatable primary pulveriser models and the P218, P224 and P232 secondary models provide construction equipment operators with greater force concrete demolition

Cat said: “This exclusive feature quickly closes the jaw when there is no load. When the jaw comes into contact with material, the SpeedBooster hydraulic valve automatically switches to power mode for maximum power, quickly shattering concrete.”

The incorporationg of the Speedbooster technology means the new P300 pulveriser series can deliver “efficient and profitable” concrete demolition, by providing up to 52% faster cycle times and 21% higher force than the previous models.

The the 360 degrees of rotation also allows the jaws of the P319, P324 and P332 also offer 360 degrees of rotation, allowing the jaws grab material from any angle.

Alongside this, the integrated technology provides the Cat P218, P224 and P232 secondary pulverisers with 44% faster cycle times and “up to 20% better force in concrete demolition than their predecessor models”.

Cat said this means the attachments deliver 15% greater performance when it comes to secondary material processing applications

Both the primary and secondary pulverizers, which are now available internationall in almost all regions, also feature bolt-on wear components that can be quickly replaced onsite, and are available with the Cat Asset Tracking system.

Cat said: “Easy-to-establish site boundaries increase attachment security by sending an alert if the asset is moved beyond a set perimeter. Asset tracking allows for efficient management of the entire attachment fleet, quickly viewed through VisionLink with Product Link subscribed equipment.”
