A “Safety Stand‑Down” encourages employers to pause work and engage directly with employees through toolbox talks, equipment inspections, or rescue plan development—focused on fall prevention and other workplace hazards.

Participants often include construction contractors, general industry employers, unions, and training institutions

During the week-long event, Brandenburg’s safety and supervisory teams led a series of presentations covering a range of fall protection topics.

These included Personal Fall Arrest Systems, safe use of walking and working surfaces, mounting and dismounting techniques with an emphasis on the Three Points of Contact, ladder safety, emergency rescue procedures, and approaches to engineering fall hazards out of the work environment.

The company also partnered with Guardian Fall Protection, which provided live demonstrations to illustrate the function and effectiveness of various fall arrest systems.

Brandenburg is a participant in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) and conducts training aimed at maintaining compliance with safety standards and reducing workplace incidents.

The company said the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to engage workers in safety practices across its jobsites.
