Yanmar unveils its smallest wheel loaders

Yanmar Compact Equipment has launched two new wheel loaders in the mini range.

The company says the V7 and V7-HW (Heavy Weight) are the smallest in its portfolio and are ideal for use in rental, construction and landscaping applications due to the low weight, compact dimensions and ability to tackle tough jobs.

Both units weigh just over 4 tonnes, half a tonne lighter than the next largest unit from its product range and come equipped with an articulation/oscillation joint that reduces the machine height to under 2.5m.

Powered by a Yanmar4TNV86CT diesel engine, both loaders have an electronically controlled drivetrain and a hydraulic quick hitch that enables the operator to swap between attachments.

While many of the specifications of the machines are the same, the V7-HW has a higher payload on forks of 1.9 tonnes and a tipping load of 3.2 tonnes, while the V7 has a payload on forks of 1.7 tonnes and a maximum tipping load of 3 tonnes.

Yanmar says it has also focused on operator comfort and safety with the new machines, which both have a new cabin that is fitted with two steel frames doors to improve access and airflow.

For operator view, a 3.5-inch operator display is fitted on the A-post, while the removal of a vertical exhaust pipe coupled with the design of the engine hood provides good real visibility, says Yanmar.
