The volume rose by 33% during the first nine months of 2026, reaching 7.4 million tonnes.

Holcim said that this growth forms part of its strategy to expand circular construction activities, including the production of new building materials incorporating recycled demolition waste.

The company also reported third-quarter revenue of CHF 4.66 billion (approximately €5.05 billion), up 15.5% year-on-year. Recurring operating profit increased by 16.8% to CHF 976 million (€1.06 billion).

CEO Miljan Gutovic said, “During the first nine months of the year, we increased the volume of recycled construction and demolition materials by 1/3, accelerating our circular construction technology ECOCycle.”

He added, “Our number of circular construction hubs stands at 136 globally. This footprint now stretches well beyond Europe with hubs in countries like Australia and China and evolving frameworks in Mexico, Morocco and Ecuador.”

During the earnings call, he discussed further acquisition opportunities in C&D waste recycling, particularly in Belgium, the UK, Germany and France. He described the market as highly fragmented, with considerable potential for consolidation.

Holcim has also raised its full-year earnings outlook following its third-quarter performance.

The company expects recurring operating profit to grow by 10–12% in 2026, while continuing to work towards its existing NextGen Growth target of recycling more than 20 million tonnes of C&D materials annually by 2030.
