Steelwrist to conclude busy exhibition season with CSPI-EXPO in Japan

Steelwrist will conclude the first half of its 2025 exhibition season with a 225 sq m indoor booth at the CSPI-EXPO in Tokyo, taking place from 18 to 21 June.

The Swedish manufacturer plans to exhibit its tiltrotator range, introduce its SQ40 automatic coupler system to the Japanese market, and run a live demonstration using two electric excavators.

The company’s stand will include static product displays and demonstrations using a Volvo ECR25 and a Komatsu PC30E, each equipped with an X04 Direct Fit tiltrotator and S40 quick coupler.

Other equipment on display will include the X07, X12 and X18 tiltrotators, the XR7 rotor coupler, and a range of work tools such as grapples, beams, rippers and buckets.

Steelwrist will also show its SQ60 coupler and a member adapter plate as part of an Open-S display. The Open-S standard allows compatibility between automatic quick couplers and tools from different manufacturers. According to the company, the alliance responsible for the Open-S standard has recently launched a Japanese-language website.

The SQ40, first presented at Bauma in Germany in April, will be shown with the X07 tiltrotator. Designed for excavators up to 6 tonnes, it uses a modular design that allows existing S-type components to be upgraded to SQ by replacing the rear shaft. Steelwrist stated that this enables flexible hose routing and easier coupling of hydraulic tools.

Steelwrist CEO Stefan Stockhaus said: “I’m very excited to return to CSPI-EXPO with our most impressive stand ever, and I look forward to welcoming visitors to experience our live demonstration as well as presenting the new SQ40 to the Japanese market.”

The company also confirmed that its tiltrotators have now been registered in Japan’s New Technology Information System (NETIS), a government database overseen by the Ministry for Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

The NETIS system is used to assess and promote technologies for public works projects. According to Steelwrist, its registration applies across all excavator brands.

Stefan added: “With our recent NETIS registration and our growing team in Japan, we are reaffirming our very strong commitment to the Japanese market.”

Steelwrist has participated in more than 20 events worldwide in the first half of 2025, including Bauma, where it launched the XTR15 and XTR23 third-generation tiltrotators.

“It has been an extremely busy period, with our 20-year anniversary event and several successful exhibitions throughout this spring,” said Karl Serneberg, VP OEM Sales & Marketing.

“Each occasion is a possibility for the visitor to meet our team members, to experience our products in action and Steelwrist as the leading tiltrotator, quick coupler and work tools manufacturer. Now we finish the first half of 2025 with our most impressive stand ever at CSPI-EXPO in Japan.”
