President of Sandvik Construction Thomas Schulz is to leave the company for a position as CEO of FLSmidth & Co – a company focused on the cement and minerals industries.

A successor for Mr Schulz, who has worked for Sandvik since 2001 and held various positions within the construction business, is currently being sought.

Sandvik group president and CEO Olof Faxander said, “I want to express my sincere gratitude for Thomas Schulz's contributions to Sandvik and wish him the best of luck in his new position.”

Based in Denmark, FLSmidth & Co supplies engineering, machines, processing plants, maintenance support services and facilities operation to the cement and minerals industries. Its current CEO, Jørgen Huno Rasmussen, will retire mid-2013 after 10 years in the job.
