New hybrid-powered Finlay screen on show at ConExpo 2026

Currently in prototype development, the new hybrid-powered Finlay 883+ is expected to be commercially available later in the year, scheduled for a June release.

The new screen machine can process up to 600 tonnes per hour for applications including construction and demolition waste as well as quarry overburden, mining materials, sand, gravel, compost, topsoil and coal.

The machine features a 16’ x 5’ (4.8 m x 1.5 m) top and bottom deck screen. Each onboard conveyor is powered by a separate hydraulic circuit and its 36” (900 mm) fines conveyor and banana‑profile bottom deck maximise fines screening efficiency.

The screenbox discharge end can be raised by 20” (500 mm) for changes while the reversible side conveyors offer operational flexibility.

The hybrid version follows the introduction of the electric-powered 883+ screen last year. According to Finlay: “The machine on display reflects ongoing investment in user‑focused improvements.” This includes a redesigned feeder with hydraulically folding and locking extensions for rear feeding by wheel loader, and a hopper manufactured from wear‑resistant steel with optional linings for added durability.

Finlay will also show the J‑1280 jaw crusher, which it positions between the J‑1175 and the larger J‑1480 models. The J‑1280 has a 47” x 32” (1200 mm x 820 mm) Terex single‑toggle jaw chamber for hard‑rock applications.

Its hydrostatic drive system enables continuous reverse operation without needing operators to work at height or conduct lock‑out/tag‑out procedures. It also includes a standard vibrating grizzly feeder (VGF), pre‑screen options and an extended pan feeder with pre‑screen.

The booth will also have a preview display of the new I‑130 and I‑130RS impact crushers, which will officially launch at the Hillhead show in the UK in June. The Terex events app will feature 3D interactive models of the new crushers, along with the J‑1280, 694 and 694 rinsers.
