Located in Edinburgh, the new depot will operate as a stand-alone addition to their United Kingdom headquarters and will primarily provide spare parts for Metso’s mobile crushers and screens.

The new branch, which will be managed by Lousie Hunter, will also act as a UK-wide customer contact and communications centre.

Darragh O’Driscoll, Business Development Director at McHale, said: “Pleased as we are with our progress from a standing-start, we will move forward aware of the challenges ahead in building our team in Tamworth and Edinburgh, primarily through appointments in technical and customer support roles.”

“Intensifying our contacts with Metso owners throughout England, Scotland and Wales will be an additional objective,” he added.

McHale’s longer term plans for the new Edinburgh site include the addition of machinery sales services and a technical support unit.

News of the company’s expansion plans come just over six months since it was appointed as a Metso distributor. Since then, McHale has reported “steady progress with a mix of jaw, impact and cone crushers having been supplied to customers in locations as widely spread as London, Cornwall, North Wales and Yorkshire”.
