Kleemann launches post screening option

Crushing and screening specialist Kleemann has introduced a double-deck post screening unit for its Mobicone MCO 90(i) EVO2 cone crusher and Mobirex MR 110(i) EVO2 impact crusher models.

Now available as an optional extra, the double-deck post screening unit enables a single crusher to produce two classified final grain sizes, without the use of an additional screening plant.

According to the equipment manufacturer - which is to demonstrate its Mobirex MR 130(i) Pro impact crusher for the first time at this year’s Bauma exhibition in Germany -  the large screening surface of the double-deck unit enables it to be used for grain sizes below 20 mm.

“The discharge height of the fine grain conveyor is designed for a maximum stockpile volume. Oversize grain can be processed in a closed material circuit via a return conveyor,” said Kleemann.

“As an option, the conveyor can be swivelled hydraulically by up to 100°, which also makes side discharge possible. A kidney-shaped stockpile can thus be created manually.”

While the unit can also be used as a single-deck version if only one final grain sized it required, the addition of the unit also allows machine operators to use Kleemann’s wind sifter for recycling applications.

The wind sifter, which can only be used in conjunction with the post screening unit, is said to increase material quality by removing wood and plastic contaminants from the material.

“The air flow can then be controlled precisely depending on the material. This also reduces manual and sorting work,” said the manufacturer.

“With the double-deck post screening unit, a second wind sifter can be used as an option for cleaning the medium grain.”
