US joint venture in Idrobase growth plan

Industrial pressure washer and dust suppression manufacturer Idrobase Group, based in Borgoricco, Italy, has announced its strategic priorities for 2025, focusing on expanding its presence in key global markets, including the US, Africa, and China.

As part of its US expansion, the company plans to establish a joint venture to develop the market for misting systems used in industrial dust suppression, alongside strengthening its aftermarket parts business.

The company’s portable pressure washers are widely used in the construction equipment market in Europe.

In Africa, Idrobase Group has signed licensing agreements with Algerian partners, which will see some production currently handled by its Ningbo unit in China transferred to Algeria.

Components from Italy will be assembled locally to supply cleaning products to the region’s growing markets.

At its Borgoricco headquarters, the company is continuing its implementation of the Lean methodology across all business areas, an initiative expected to be completed in 2026 with a total investment of €500,000 (US$520,000).

The project aims to cut work times by 40%, enhance employee training, increase research and innovation efforts, and selectively reduce list prices by 15% to improve market penetration.

A key focus will also be on after-sales service, shifting from a repair-based model to preventive maintenance. “Maintaining a machine efficiently costs far less than repairing it,” said Idrobase co-owner Bruno Gazzignato.

The company aims to increase its overall revenue by 13% in 2025, following recovery from the impact of a 2022 fire and global economic challenges.

“From that experience, we emerged determined to rebuild the company with new criteria, from workspace design to production processes. The results are proving us right,” said co-owner Bruno Ferrarese.

In China, Idrobase Ningbo is targeting an 80% revenue increase, seeking to regain market share lost due to domestic economic conditions and low-cost competition.

“The market is shifting, and local competitors have declined,” Ferrarese added. “By aligning our offerings with market expectations, we are confident that quality will prevail.”
