Bobcat has introduced its MT100 ride-on mini track loader onto the European construction equipment market.

Designed for use in the construction and demolition sectors and already available in North America, the MT100 is powered by a Stage V/Tier 4 compliant diesel engine and has a maximum forward speed of 6.6 km/h (4.1 mph) with a reverse speed of 4.7 km/h (2.9 mph).

In addition to an operating capacity of 460 kg (1,014 lb) and a tipping load of 1,314 kg (2,896 lb a key feature of the model is its moveable counterweights, which allow users to tailor the lift capacity or ground engagement according to the needs of specific tasks.

Situated in the front undercarriage, when moved to the rear uprights the counterweights increase the machine’s lift capacity up to 485 kg (1,069 lb) and its tipping load to 1,387 kg (3,057 lb).

John Chattaway, loaders product manager at Bobcat, said: “With the MT100 mini track loader, users can travel and work in the tightest spaces where other machines cannot.

“The MT100 should not be underestimated - it does serious work: from cleaning up under conveyors at quarries and waste sites to digging, trenching, tilling and moving materials and more on construction and demolition sites. The MT100 also offers the attachment versatility of larger Bobcat compact loaders.”

According to Bobcat, the MT100 uses the same standard Bob-Tach attachment system found on it smaller loader models, allowing it to shares many of the same attachments.

While the standard MT100 measures just 0.91 m (3 ft) wide and is capable of fitting through “narrow gates and doorways”, a wide tracked option that increases its width to 1.1 m (3.6 ft) for added stability is also available.
