Komatsu has announced that it will now offer its excavators factory-prepared for Plug & Play integration with Rototilt tiltrotators, starting with the new PC220LC/LCi-12.

The system, developed in collaboration between Komatsu and Rototilt, allows customers to install tiltrotators with minimal connections and includes programmable control levers with integrated tiltrotator functionality as standard.

Stefan Bergström, VP Marketing & Sales at Rototilt, said the factory-integrated solution can be adapted to contractor preferences and represents growing global demand for tiltrotators beyond Scandinavia.

He said, “The technicians at Komatsu have extremely high competence, and through a productive collaboration we managed to develop a truly quality-assured, factory-integrated Plug & Play solution.

“The tiltrotator system can be adapted to the contractor’s needs and preferences, for example with the hydraulic quick coupler QuickChange.”

Rob Macintyre, product manager at Komatsu Europe, added that the partnership reflects the company’s strategy to support integrated attachments that enhance productivity and precision.

The PC220LC/LCi-12 also features Komatsu’s intelligent Machine Control 3.0, which includes posture hold control to automatically maintain attachment orientation, simplifying digging and grading with a tiltrotator.

The new Plug & Play option will be available through Komatsu’s European dealers from September 2025.
