The Red Hawk hand-held breaker is new from Chicago Pneumatic

Chicago Pneumatic has added to its hand-held line of petrol-driven breakers with the addition of the 22.7 kg (50 lb) Red Hawk model that offers a maximum blow rate of 2,500 bpm and an impact energy of 24 J. According to the company, the model is ideal for breaking concrete, cutting asphalt, tamping and compacting soil and other light applications. Key to the new tool its low vibration level of 2.4 m/s2, says Chicago. The Red Hawk also features vibration-dampening handles and a slim body design that, allied to its low service weight, results in a tool that offers maximum ergonomic protection and easy handling, the company claims.

The new breaker has a length of 694 mm (27.3 in), a depth of 281 mm (11 in) and a width over the handles of 585 mm (23 in). Power comes from a 185 cc single cylinder, two stroke petrol engine that provides a rated power of 2 kW.
