Steelwrist relocates South Korean operations to Seoul

Steelwrist has opened a new facility in Seoul, Dongtan, South Korea, as it relocates from Changwon in the southern part of the country. It first entered the market in 2017.

The new site was officially inaugurated on 2 October, followed by an open house event for OEMs, dealers and customers during 3–4 October.

Located in the greater Seoul area, the new facility includes warehouse capacity, customer support, service and workshop as well as options product and technical training.

The company also noted that while South Korea is a well-established market for rotor couplers, penetration of tiltrotators and fully automatic quick coupler systems remains relatively low compared with several European markets.

It sees significant long-term opportunities to further develop the tiltrotator market in this market, supported by a local organisation, customer relationships and the company’s product solutions.

During the inauguration weekend, Steelwrist products were demonstrated during live machine presentations and facility tours.

The event showcased the XTR third-generation tiltrotator range, the QuantumConnect control system, Steelwrist work tools and the Open-S industry standard.

“The new facility brings us closer to many of our customers and dealers and gives us much better possibilities to support them with service, training and product knowledge,” said Jongchul Chun, who was appointed country manager for Korea in August 2025.

“We believe there is a great opportunity to further develop the tiltrotator market in Korea, and I am very pleased that we now have an even stronger platform from which to grow together with our customers and partners.”

The inauguration was hosted by the Steelwrist Korea team together with colleagues from the wider organisation. CEO Stefan Stockhaus, incoming CEO Jon Lind and VP region APAC Peter Lam were also present for the opening and customer activities.
