The OEM added that this would represent the ‘first-ever zero-emission-only lineup’ at Bauma Munich, the world’s largest construction trade show. The event will be held from April 7-13.

At the show the OEM has said that it will be unveiling a new electric machine that is designed for key industrial segments in the construction industry.

The equipment being displayed will include the upgraded 23-ton EC230 Electric mid-size excavator, newly launched electric wheeled loaders, the L120 Electric and L90 Electric, the new EWR150 Electric – the company’s first battery-powered wheeled excavator – and the EW240 Electric Material Handler grid-connected excavator.

“We are at a critical moment in our industry’s transformation. With our biggest launch ever, featuring a range of versatile technologies, we are prepared to offer industry-leading products, services, and solutions to assist customers at any stage of their transformation journey,” Melker Jernberg, President of Volvo CE, said.

“We stand firm in our commitments to innovation, sustainability and leadership in the industry.”

The company reiterated that it provides conventional diesel options of all zero-emission models that will be on show, and claims that they deliver industry-leading fuel efficiency improvements of up to 15%.

Volvo CE did not take part in the last Bauma in 2022.
