The awards – a feature of the WDS since the first event in 2009 – recognise innovation and best practice in demolition and recycling, courtesy of an international judging panel with a combined total of more than 300 years’ experience.

Winners in 2021 included companies such as Australia’s Mann Group, Mainline Demolition and Drumderg Services, European companies Cantillon, C&D Demolition Consultants, Erith Contractors, Kocurek and Volgaspettsroy, and North American entrants Caterpillar and Priestly Demolition.

As well as the individual awards (categories listed below), an overall “Best of the Best” World Demolition Award winner will be chosen by the judges, as was the case with British contractor Safedem last year. The New Entrant Award will also be presented on the night.
