Cheshire Demolition has taken delivery of a new Terex Finlay J-1160 jaw crusher that will be used to produce recycled aggregates and Type 1 MOT material at its Macclesfield, UK, base. Supplied by UK dealer Finlay Central, the machine is fitted with a Multi Tooth Jaw Liner to allow it to produce a better shaped product and enhance processing capability when dealing with recycled material down to 40 mm. Once processed, Cheshire sells the resulting product to the local construction industry for sub-base and road fill.

Chehire Demolition was founded in 1985 by Stand Swindellls and Neil Trueman, who have develeoped the three acre Macclesfield site to ofer demolition, skip hire, salvage and reclamation services.

Stan said of the new machine: "Thanks to the J-1160's high performance we are crushing material as fast as it comes in, it has a fantastic turnaround.

"We also have a Terex Finlay 883 heavy duty screener from Finlay Central, which we sometimes use to screen the material first. Anything left over from that process sized 75mm or more is then sent to the crusher. Both machines are helping us to meet the demands of our customers.

"Thanks to the mobility and compact size of the J-1160 jaw crusher, we can take the plant to our customers' sites to help with crushing and screening. This is a great for us, as it means we can offer our customers something extra."
