The European Demolition Association has added two companies to its membership ahead of its annual convention, which opens in the Scottish city of Glasgow today.

The new members are Stanley LaBounty – which will be present at the convention this week – and Husqvarna Construction Products, which is represented in more than 70 countries.

Stanley LaBounty, part of the Stanley Infrastructure group, is described as having effectively created the attachment market in the 1970s with the introduction of the contractor's grapple, and the company continues to develop and innovate.

Serving contractors, scrap metal recyclers, and demolition experts, is still a world leader in the design and innovation of hydraulic attachments, with more than 9,000 sq m (97,000 sq ft) of manufacturing space.

LaBounty recently launched UPX Universal Processor series and MHP Pulveriser series designed to meet durability and power requirements of demolition contractors in Europe and the USA. It has also launched new MDG grapple series.

Husqvarna Construction Products, part of Husqvarna Group, is one of the market leaders in machines and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries.

The extensive and innovative product range includes power cutters, drill motors and drill stands, diamond tools, floor, masonry, wall and wire saws, as well as surface preparation and demolition machines.
