02 September 2009

The US National Demolition Association has announced the dates for its 2009 Demolition Academy event, which will run from 14th October through to the 16th October at the OSHA Training Institute at Arlington Heights, Illinois. This will be the Association's 15th formal safety training programme

The 14th will be devoted to a demolition-specific OSHA 10 hour Certification that will be provided in both Spanish and English. According to NDA executive director Mike Taylor: " It [OSHA Certification] should be an important part of every company's safety training programme and is also required as part of OSHA's Disaster Site Worker Training Certification." Those already holding OSHA Certification can take advantage of in-depth fall protection, accident investigation, confined space and aerial lift training.

On the 15th a continuation of the OSHA Certification from the previous day will be provided, or the option of full day management training workshops. A variety of safety training workshops will be offered on the 16th October. Participants can attend the event for one, two or all three days. Go to www.demolitionassociation.com for further information on the event.
