The new PC390HRD‐11 is the latest in Komatsu’s range of heavy duty demolition machines. The company said it brings “best in class” working power to the 50 t machine sector, can be configured in six different working arrangements, can carry a 2.5 t demolition tool up to a height of 26 m (85 ft), and can also work with a 4 t demolition tool up to 15 m (49 ft).

The high reach was designed, developed and manufactured by Komatsu UK

According to Komatsu, the excavator removes the need for multiple machines in the demolition process. It was designed and developed as a result of customer feedback and is also manufactured by the company.

In the development process, Komatsu recognised that demolition machines must be moved from site to site as easily as possible, and put a lot of effort into the transport arrangements for the machine, which was kept as compact and light as possible without compromising durability.

Komatsu recently held an event to officially launch and showcase the high reach to clients.

“We are really pleased that a machine that was designed, developed and manufactured here has been received so well,” said Stuart Blackham, design manager for demolition products at Komatsu UK.
