IRock goes large

29 July 2013

IRock has introduced its largest tracked screen in the shape of the TS-620, which joins the four other models in its line-up of screeners/scalpers. The new unit has been designed for large scale, heavy duty applications in the quarrying, recycling, construction and demolition sectors.

Power for the new machine is provided by a Cat C6.6 diesel developing 168 kW (225 hp) and it has the capacity to process up to 900 tonnes/hr. It features a heavy duty hopper rated to 9 square metres (316 square feet) , which Irock claims is the largest in its class. The direct feed unit also features conveyors with stockpiling heights up to 4.9 m (16 ft). With a 6 x 1.8 m (20 x 6 ft) top deck and a 5.8 x 1.8 m (19 x 6 ft) bottom deck, the TS-620 has a total screening area of 21.8 square metres (234 square feet) and this two deck design allows the production of three different product sizes. IRock also offers what it claims is the widest oversize discharge conveyor on the market at 1.6 m (5.25 ft)

A number of features are available as options to further enhance durability, such as an apron feeder instead of the belt feeder. Top deck bofar bars allow allows the retention of more valuable fine material while rejecting oversize product. Top-deck punch plates are another option that prolongs service life in scalping or heavy duty applications.
