Caterpillar's new H25D hydraulic hammer is designed for use on carriers weighing from 0.8 to 1.1 tonnes. According to the company, the new hammer combines simplicity and cost-effectiveness with a power to weight ratio optimised for demolition and recycling applications.

According to EAME sales manager, Cat Work Tools, Scott Graham: "The release of the H25D hammer is another addition to the successful line of D-series hammers designed with the customer's satisfaction in mind. We look forward to providing our customers with improved value in support of their demolition and recycling tasks."

The new attachment weighs in at 70 kg (154 lb) and provides a impact frequency of 1,000 - 1,900 blows per minute. The design features a streamlined shape that allows good access into narrow workplaces and just two moving parts to minimise maintenance. The H25D has no tie rods, and features an integrated accumulator and integrated lower tool bushing.
