The National Demolition Association (NDA) has published its 'Americanised' version of the UK National Federation of Demolition Contractors' (NFDC) high reach guidance notes. Published under the name High Reach Demolition Machine Guidance Document, the guide outlines recommended safe work practises for high reach demolition excavators designed to demolish structures greater than three stories tall.

According to the NDA, the 14 page booklet has been produced to promote important discourse regarding the specification of work practices, the manufacture, supply and use of these machines, and their transportation, loading and unloading. The document is designed to be used as an aid in developing a work plan and engineering survey. It was prepared by an NDA Work Group that looks at equipment safety under the direction of president Raymond Passeno.

The new guidance document is available at US$3.00 from the NDA - [email protected] or call 800 541 2412.
