The 14th World Demolition Summit took place on 16 and 17 November, once again concluding with the World Demolition Awards dinner. Here is the outcome in full.

Award 1 - Urban Demolition over US$10 million

“The contract involved closed borders, moving equipment and employees from Italy to Denmark, and required lots of Covid coordination”

Project Historic Folger Shakespeare Library entrance, Washington DC
The judges said:
“This was a tough job involving selective demolition while the library remained open to the public, with its own special shoring requirements”

Award 14 - World Demolition Award (‘Best of the Best’)

Winner Brandenburg Industrial Service Co
Country USA
The judges said:
“Brandenburg’s entry only hints at the great focus, intensity and perseverance that it demonstrated to complete this massive project. The numbers involved show the project’s great scale.”
