Why Pacific West is a ‘great platform’ for Eagle Remediation and Demolition Services

The founder of USA-based environmental specialist Eagle Remediation and Demolition Services says its partnership with rail and industrial services business Pacific West could be a basis for similar tie-ups in the demolition and recycling industry.

Mark Anderson said he was excited for the team at Eagle – which was established in 2012 – to be joining Pacific West, which is part of transport and logistics investment company Bluejay Capital Partners’ portfolio.

As part of the link up between the companies, Mark has been named new vice president of environmental at Pacific West.

“The Pacific West platform is a great place for us all to grow as we share the same culture of customer service excellence,” he added.

“We talked to many of our customers and they were excited to hear the news too. They think it is a great partnership. Some of Pacific West and Eagle’s also overlap, so it has just strengthened those relationships.”

Eagle is headquartered in Texas, also serving the southern states of Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. With Pacific West based in Salt Lake City, Mark sees an opportunity to expand its coverage.

“The state of environmental and demolition services, both regionally and nationwide, is very strong. There is always a need for environmental services. Regulations are changing, and there is growth in many markets, but you can only spread out so far.

“We’ll certainly be expanding the services that we provide to the Texas market and then also building on what Pacific West has put together in its areas.

“You never know, it could lead to others in the industry looking at what they are doing and maybe pursuing something like this.”

The partnership was the result of six months of discussions and Mark paid tribute to Bluejay for bringing the two companies together.

Meanwhile, Bluejay itself said that this might not be the last expansion activity involving Pacific West.

“We are thrilled to be executing our organic and now acquisition growth strategy for Pacific West. Bluejay will continue to support the Pacific West and Eagle teams and look forward to additional expansions very soon,” said principal James Samuelsen.
