Based in Gloucester, Wheatway manufactures screening and attachment products under several brands, including Gyru-Star Compact Screening Systems, Kustom Konnect, Liftow, and DRC. All of its equipment is designed and manufactured in Great Britain. The company has joined Open-S as an Associate Member.

Colin Smith, Managing Director of Wheatway Solutions Ltd, said: “We believe that common standards, such as Open-S, are a catalyst for innovation, driving a balance between collaboration and competition that ensures progress across the industry.

“Joining Open-S strengthens our ability to provide customers with innovative solutions that promote interoperability and ensure their attachments remain flexible and future-proof in an evolving industry.”

Founded in 2020, the Open-S Alliance aims to allow machine owners and contractors to use quick couplers, tiltrotators, and work tools from different manufacturers that follow the same hydraulic interface standard.

Stefan Stockhaus, Chairman of the Board of the Open-S Alliance, said: “We are delighted to welcome our first British company as a member of the organization and to add another high-quality manufacturer that supports our vision of an open global industry standard.

“It has been incredibly encouraging to witness the growth in membership over the past year and I’m confident that the expansion of Open-S will continue.”

With the addition of Wheatway, the Open-S Alliance now includes 17 member companies from Europe, North America, and Asia. Pacific JCB, Volvo Construction Equipment, Wacker Neuson, Kinshofer, Steelwrist, Indeco, Rotar, Rototilt and Daedong Engineering are among its members.
