Mike Casbon of ERM is one of a trio of US-based safety experts speaking at the World Demolition Summit in Miami

Mike Casbon is a consultant within ERM based in Indianapolis.

He has 24 years of international experience in the field of demolition, decontamination and construction. This includes extensive experience in project management of large scale facility decommissioning projects, brownfield remediation, CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act) Superfund projects, and selective demolition.

He is also experienced in explosive demolition and has managed several large scale projects. These projects were performed in many key industry sectors such as the power generation industry, primary metals, oil and gas refining, pharma production, and chemical processing.

Mike is an accomplished trainer in the Health and Safety field and has developed and provided training in many disciplines including; OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Administration) outreach, HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response), confined space and aerial lift.

He led the redevelopment of the OSHA 3500 demolition course and also serves as an instructor in demolition at the OSHA Training Institute.

Mike has served for 22 years on the National Demolition Association’s Safety & health committee and served as the chairperson for the 2015 safety manual revision.
