Sutton Services’ new Warrior 1400X is processing waste materials arising from a recycling site in Ipswich, UK

Powerscreen Midlands, the distributor covering that region of the UK, has delivered a new Powerscreen Warrior 1400X to East Anglia based Sutton Services Ltd, a demolition contractor and recycler working in the region for the last 20 years.

The Warrior 1400X was launched at the 2012 Hillhead trade show and according to Powerscreen was designed with economy in mind, offering up to a 15% fuel saving when compared to its predecessor. It can be supplied with either a Tier 3/Stage 3A compliant Cat C4.4 ATAAC delivering 90 kW (120 hp) or a Tier 4 Interim/Stage 3B Cat C4.4 delivering 82 kW (110 hp).

Director Glenn Sutton said of his new acquisition: “With the new screen media set-up, we have definitely seen a 25-30% reduction in the need for crushing, this drives down our operational costs while increasing our production ability. Compared to the previous machine we were operating, we have seen a 10% reduction in set up and take down time. There is also noise reduction making this a suitable machine to use in the middle of a city.”

“We have recorded a vast improvement in the middle grade quality, they can send the mid-grade product straight to stockpile as these are correctly sized, the media now ensures that the fines are not piggy backing on paving slabs or kerbing.”
