Wacker Neuson Group completes construction of new spare parts logistics centre

Premium Content

In June 2024, the Wacker Neuson Group opened its new spare parts logistics centre in Mülheim-Kärlich, Germany after one and a half years of construction.

Covering an area of 55,000 square metres, the centre stores around 100,000 different spare parts for construction equipment and compact machines. It serves as the main hub for global spare parts distribution for the company’s core brands: Wacker Neuson, Kramer, and Weidemann.

The new distribution centre is said to support the Wacker Neuson Group’s long-term growth strategy in the spare parts and services business.

Wacker Neuson says that warehouse operations incorporate a high degree of automation and digitalization, including an automated small parts warehouse with over 30 robots and around 200,000 storage locations, a digital training platform, and innovative shop-floor management. This streamlines operations, providing customers with improved service, flexibility in ordering, and an optimized transport network.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, the Wacker Neuson Group has constructed the building in accordance with the highest standards of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), applying for platinum certification.

The centre is equipped with a photovoltaic system with a peak output of 3.2 megawatts, energy-efficient storage technology, and e-charging stations for employees and visitors.
