The Austria-based company’s machines have been connected to the internet since 2019, with the technology sending operation and application data from the job site to the cloud to maximise machine performance.

The further updates are planned ahead of the upcoming Bauma exhibition in Germany, which takes place from 24 to 30 October.

With the IoT (Internet of Things) module, Tyrolit says customers and contractors can discover the exact location of a machine anywhere in the world, see detailed charts about utilisation and receive updated information on diagnostic maintenance, via PC or app.

The company added that the latest editions of its wall saws and drilling motors are already equipped with the IoT module and can be used with the platform immediately, while MoveSmart also supports the integration of older machines and those from other manufacturers.
