Demolition & Recycling International is delighted to announce the names of two more speakers for this year’s World Demolition Summit (WDS), which takes place in London on Thursday November 2.

And fittingly in a year when the United Kingdom capital hosts the event for the first time, one of the presentations will be from a London-based company.

Multiple award winning businesswoman Jacqueline O'Donovan, who became managing director of O’Donovan Waste Disposal before her 20th birthday, will give a paper on developing closer working relationships between the demolition, recycling and logistics industries.

Jacqueline’s presentation will also reflect her 30 years’ experience in the waste disposal sector and the changing face of the industry that her company – which opened a £15 million (US$21 million) facility in the west of London last year – operates in.

Joining Jacqueline in the programme is Scott Knightly.

Scott, who combines his day job at his company Envirovantage with his recent appointment as president of the US National Demolition Association, is already known to WDS delegates as chair of the afternoon session in 2016.

With the event returning to Europe this year, Scott will maintain the transatlantic link with a presentation on how Envirovantage executed the demolition of an 11,000 sq m (120,000 sq ft) mill complex in the US.

The World Demolition Summit 2017 is organised in co-operation with the European Demolition Association. The headline sponsor is Volvo Construction Equipment.
