Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has completed the acquisition of Swecon Group, its biggest European dealer, from Lantmännen and appointed Tomas Kuta as new head.

The transaction was finalised on 31 January following regulatory approval by the European Commission.
It includes Swecon’s operations in Sweden, Germany, and the Baltics, as well as Entrack, the supplier of undercarriage components and ground engaging tools, which was acquired in September 2024.
The deal encompasses the entirety of the Swecon business: sales of products and services, rental operations, aftermarket services and support, and offices and workshop facilities. The company’s 1,400 employees will also become part of Volvo CE.
Tomas Kuta, previously head of Volvo CE sales Asia, has been appointed as the new head of the division. Mr Kuta takes up his position on 1 March, succeeding Swecon CFO Tomas Börjesson, who has decided to retire.
