Founded over 60 years ago and serving customers in the recycling, aggregates and mining sectors, Cemco is a third-generation family owned and operated business that is known for its vertical shaft impact (VSI) crushers, which are designed to handle hard abrasive materials and can handle capacity rates up to 1,500 tph.

Superior, which itself manufactures and supplies bulk material processing and handling systems, said it had signed a letter of intent to purchase the company.

The pending acquisition would include Cemco’s 140,000 sq ft (13,000 sq m) production facility and would see the all of the company’s employees retain their positions.

Jason Adams, President of Superior Industries, said: “We’re honored that the Hise family has trusted us to carry on an incredible legacy they worked very hard to create. Our care for employees, customers, and the Belen community will continue to be strong.”

The deal, which is expected to finalised in the next few months, aims to diversify Superior’s product portfolio and is described by the company as “another step in its goal of providing more opportunities for dealers”.
