Sandvik announces first Cuban distributor

Sandvik Construction has announced that Unevol is to be its first distributor for drill rigs, rock tools and crushing and screening equipment throughout Cuba.

As well as supplying a comprehensive range of Sandvik equipment, Unevol will provide full aftermarket care, spare parts and dedicated customer service.

Unevol is an established name throughout Cuba with offices, workshops and service engineers throughout the area.

Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Havana, Unevol has been selling and servicing Volvo Penta and Volvo Construction products since 1998 and 2000 respectively. The company serves a mix of state and private sector enterprises on the island. It employs 126 people.

General manager Per Hundevad, said: “Faced with a growing local market, our company will benefit from the opportunity to represent the leading brand in the industry.

“Becoming a Sandvik Construction distributor is an important development of our company. With Sandvik’s portfolio of products, we will now be able to provide drilling, crushing and screening equipment and consumables to our existing customers.”
