Rubble Master gives new crushers North American debut at ConExpo

Rubble Master will use ConExpo in Las Vegas as the stage for the North American launch of its latest impact crusher models.

The new RM 90X and RM 100X are built for aggregate producers, custom crushing contractors and site developers to deliver higher uptime, lower cost per ton and “industry-leading” simplicity in challenging operating conditions, said the company.

Based on RM 90GO! crusher model, RM 90X features a 34 x 25-inch (860 x 650 mm) inlet opening and weighs just over 67,000 lbs (30,550 kg) including screen attachment. The capacity is 200 tonnes per hour.

Meanwhile, the larger RM 100X has a 38 x 28-inch (960 x 700 mm) inlet opening and weight of less than 79,000 lbs (36,000 kg). With a capacity of 250 tonnes per hour, it is based on the existing RM 100GO!

Rubble Master said that both models are designed around the RM NEXT philosophy, which combines operator-friendly controls, automated machine optimisation and a fuel-efficient diesel-electric drive.

In terms of ease of operation, a brighter digital display offers features including:

• Setup Advisor for faster machine settings, with initial suggested setup to help less experienced operators.
• Self-Guided Troubleshooting with step-by-step routines for identifying common errors.
• Advanced Service Tools that identify those issues faster.

Also new is the HMI (human-machine interface) with performance indicator, status lights and radio-controlled operation.

“The new digital tools help operators and service technicians maximise uptime, react faster and be more proactive,” said Geoffrey Faber, North American sales manager.

Rubble Master has also developed the RM XSMART app, which allows operators to connect to the machine on-site to gain more clarity into its performance and condition. With the optional camera system, operators can monitor critical material transfer points on the machine from their cab to identify material buildup, react quickly and maintain uptime.

The new crushers’ rotor comes with a greater variety of hammer options, including new heavy-duty hammers. The RM90X has 25% and the RM 100X has 17% more rotor inertia compared to the previous models. They are also fitted with the RM Release System to minimise the risk of damage.
