REMINDER: Awards deadline just six weeks away

With just over six weeks to go, it’s time to check out those entry forms and start gathering the information needed to convince the judges that your project is a worthy winner.

“The countdown to the 2026 World Demolition Awards deadline has now begun in earnest,” said Neel Madsen, editor of Demolition & Recycling International.

“I would encourage demolition contractors and OEMs wishing to take part to send in their entries sooner rather than later, so we can ensure that our panel of experts have everything they need to judge each entry fairly.”

The categories at the 2026 World Demolition Awards include:

• Civils Demolition
• Collaboration in Demolition
• Contract of the Year – US $1 Million or Over
• Contract of the Year Under US $1 Million
• Environmental Award
• Explosive Demolition
• Industrial Demolition
• Manufacturers’ Innovation: Equipment & Tools
• Recycling Award
• Safety & Training
• Urban Demolition

In the first instance, a shortlist for each category will be chosen by a panel of international judges. These will be published on the D&Ri website and across KHL Group’s social media platforms at the end of August.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, held at the Novotel Madrid Center hotel, in Spain, on 5 November, which is also the final day of the World Demolition Summit.
