Recycler boosts processing productivity by 90%

The family-run company, which provides waste management and recycling services, recently purchased the JCB JS20MH machine as part of a major investment in equipment for its new £4 million (US$5.1 million) recycling facility.

Its JS20MH features a hydraulically raised cab and selector grab and is being used to sort construction and demolition material, and to load a new screening plant.

Together the two machines are processing around 40 t of waste material -including metals, plastics and wood - every hour, which according to WRC is 90% more than the previous method it was using.

“The elevated cab provides maximum visibility to safely, quickly and efficiently sort through the material before loading. We see it as a key machine to feed the plant and help us drive and increase our future productivity. ”

WRC’s JS20MH material handler joins the company’s existing fleet of seven JCB 538-60 Agri Super Loadall telescopic handlers.

It is fitted with the manufacturer’s Stage V-compliant DieselMAX 97kW engine model and its key features include a wide core radiator and reverse fan, climate control, five halogen work lights and a heated air suspension seat.
