Piletec – a leading United Kingdom-based piling equipment supplier – is looking to meet increasing demand for multi-purpose attachments with the launch of a dedicated business.

Piletec said customers need a one-stop-shop for attachments

And the demolition industry – along with waste and recycling – is one of the company’s targets as it diversifies.

The company said its existing attachments portfolio including excavator-mounted vibrators and pile breakers will be significantly enhanced with the addition of mini crushers, shears, multi-processors, grabs, hydraulic compactors and hammers.

The business has a sales team of seven, in turn supported by the 25-strong sales team at parent company Groundforce.

Parts and servicing of the hire products will be carried out in-house at Piletec’s many depots throughout the UK and Ireland.

“Previously we had focussed on supplying equipment allied to the piling industry,” said Piletec director Bill Gorton.

“But we found we were losing hires because people wanted a one-stop-shop for attachments which are increasingly being used to save costs.

“This new business is a natural extension to our current offerings within Piletec. As well as meeting our customers’ needs it gives us access to revenue sectors that will benefit from the decades of experience our personnel have built up.”
