Preparations are almost complete for this year’s World Demolition Summit (WDS), which takes place in London next Thursday, November 2.

The World Demolition Summit is now in its ninth year

Around 400 demolition contractors and other industry professionals are expected to attend the event, which is now in its ninth year and is being held in the United Kingdom for the first time. This will make the 2017 WDS the biggest yet.

Once again, it is organised by Demolition & Recycling International (D&Ri) in association with the European Demolition Association.

Almost 30 sponsors have also backed the summit, including headline sponsor Volvo Construction Equipment.

The WDS will follow the traditional format of a conference programme – featuring a vastly experienced international line up of speakers – during the day and an awards dinner honouring innovation and best practice in the industry across 11 categories during the evening. There is also a table top exhibition during the breaks.

Full details of the WDS are at www.demolitionsummit.com and if you have not yet booked your place as a delegate there are still a few seats available. Please contact Julia Bossie on +44 (0)1892 786204 or email [email protected] for further details.

If you can’t make it in person, please look out for coverage on social media, online at www.khl.com, or in the next issue of the D&Ri and WDS newsletters.

There will also be a full review in the November-December print issue of D&Ri.
