The awards are a celebration of excellence in demolition and help to raise industry standards and promote the work and expertise of the demolition sector to the wider construction industry and the public.

Commenting on the 2025 awards, Leila said: “This year is particularly exciting for us. Not only is the WDS expanding, but in parallel to our panel of expert demolition judges who will asses the contractor award entries, we are also introducing a new panel of equipment specialists to judge the Manufacturers’ Innovation award categories.”

“It is my great pleasure to announce that Walter Reeves, Senior Vice President Demolition, Americas at Steelwrist and Gordon Hambach, Head of Strategic Marketing at Epiroc have joined our team and will be among those juding the OEM awards.”

The event organiser further stated that the awards entry deadline would not be extended.

“I urge people to get their entries in as early as possible,” she said. “Should there be a problem with an entry - such as missing or corrupted files - this ensures we have plenty of time to address it.”

The awards form a central part of the annual World Demolition Summit (WDS), which will take place in Nashville, Tennessee, US, from 3 to 5 November 2025.

Now in its 17th year, the event celebrates innovation, safety, and technical excellence across the global demolition and dismantling industry.

This year’s summit will feature an expanded schedule, with the main conference sessions and the prestigious World Demolition Awards ceremony taking place on the 4 and 5 November.
