NFDC kicks off 2025 ‘Intelligent Demolition Planning’ seminar series
16 July 2025
The National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) has commenced its 2025 NFDC Talks: Intelligent Demolition Planning seminar series.

Developed in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE), the free-to-attend seminars are designed to equip professionals with the knowledge required to plan safe, compliant and successful demolition projects.
The first seminar of the year took place in Manchester on 19 June, with a second session held in Edinburgh on 10 July.
The NFDC said both events attracted a broad mix of built environment professionals, from senior leaders and developers to project managers and supply chain specialists.
Attendees heard expert insights from speakers including NFDC President Adrian Corrigan, who took the role on earlier this year, HSE representatives Jan Andresen and John Woodward, and IDE’s Adrian McLean.
Presentations focused on pre-contract planning, contractor selection, and the importance of early engagement between construction and demolition teams.
“These seminars are ideal for construction professionals, project managers, developers, and anyone involved in procuring demolition services,” the NFDC said.
Upcoming dates for NFDC Talks include:
17 July – Birtley (Komatsu UK)
16 October – London (Royal Lancaster)
23 October – Birmingham (Crowne Plaza)
19 November – Belfast (Clayton Hotel)
