NFDC creates new operations director role

This new position has been created “to support the federation’s continued development, strengthen member engagement and help drive operational excellence across the organisation,” according to a statement from the NFDC.

Carroll will support the leadership team, members and key stakeholders across the federation’s activities.

Serving most recently as strategic membership office, he has been involved with the federation for many years and was awarded the ‘Man of the Year’ in 2018.

His new role includes improving operational performance and internal processes, supporting member services and helping to advance safety, quality and professional standards across the demolition sector.

At the same time, Carroll has also become training manager at the National Demolition Training Group (NDTG), extending his strong commitment to education in demolition. 

Welcoming both appointments, president Adrian Corrigan said, “Brian brings with him a strong understanding of the demolition industry, our members and the importance of maintaining high standards across everything we do as a federation.

“His knowledge, practical experience and commitment to competence will be a great asset as we continue to move the federation forward.”

He added that Carroll’s further role at the NDTG will ensure that training continues to reflect the needs of demolition contractors, clients and the wider sector.

On taking on his new responsibilities, Carroll commented, “I look forward to fully supporting the senior leadership team and members to build on the federation’s strong foundations and help deliver practical improvements that benefit our membership and the industry.”
