
The seminars will again be held in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE).
The 2025 series will include six free-to-attend events across the UK, with confirmed dates and venues set as:
19 June – Manchester (Crowne Plaza)
10 July – Edinburgh (RSE Scotland Foundation)
17 July – Birtley (Komatsu UK)
16 October – London (Royal Lancaster London)
23 October – Birmingham (Crowne Plaza)
19 November – Belfast (Clayton Hotel Belfast)
According to the NFDC, the seminars are intended for “construction professionals, project managers, developers, and anyone involved in procuring demolition services”.
It said: “These free-to-attend sessions are tailored to provide the critical knowledge required to plan safe, compliant and successful demolition projects.”
The association added: “...the seminars will support clients tendering demolition works and will highlight essential safety and contractual considerations.”
Topics to be covered include pre-contract considerations, contract clarity, contractor selection and verifying qualifications.
Speakers will include NFDC President Adrian Corrigan, HSE representatives Jan Andresen and John Woodward, and IDE representative Adrian McLean. The NFDC said that further speakers will be announced in due course.
