4Recycling is to establish a 40,000 square foot (3,716 square metre) recycling facility at the 45 acre Beeley Wood Recycling Village in South Yorkshire, UK, where it will process waste from a number of sources, including construction waste, into agricultural fertiliser. The company is contracted by customers throughout the UK to collect their inert, non-hazardous waste, including construction materials, manufacturing waste, lime, ash, paper and green waste.

The facility will be housed in two units on the site and will be one of only a few of its kind in the UK and will allow 4Recycling to operate a recycling one-stop-shop.

According to 4Recycling director Colin Rudd: "The facility achieves two very important goals; it allows waste that may otherwise be destined for landfill to be recycled and it produces a new kind of agricultural fertiliser to be used in place of the standard fertiliser which is made from oil based materials and products from the land. Operations such as these are crucial for achieving long-term, effective environmental practice and we are continually seeking new ways to improve performance in the recycling arena. We had been looking for a location for the facility for some time, as a strategic location was important. Beeley Wood offered us this in addition to having the necessary planning approvals in place, allowing us to be operational quickly and smoothly."
