Metso finds buyer for loading and hauling business

The move follows a strategic review of its loading and hauling operations that the company - which operates under the Häggblom legal entities in Finland and Sweden - carried out earlier this year.

It will see approximately 100 employees, mainly in Kokkola and Kalajoki in Finland and in Luleå in Sweden, along with the related assets and facilities, join the new owner at the closing of the transaction.

By divesting the loading and hauling business, Metso said it sharpens its strategic focus while ensuring the business and its employees thrive under an owner who is dedicated to its development and ongoing customer service.  

The company said the decision is consistent with its “We go beyond.” strategy, focusing on growth, profitability and expanding the proportion of aftermarket services.

The deal is expected to be completed by the beginning of February 2026, after the required authority approvals have been obtained.
