Link-Belt introduces 210 X3 Series in North America

30 April 2012

The LBX Company has launched the Tier IV Interim compliant 21.7 tonne 210 X3 Series tracked excavator that features an all new ROPS cab with a new interior - it is also available as a long front variant that weighs 23.1 tonnes. Its new Tier IV Interim compliant, electronically controlled Isuzu engine results in 10% improved fuel efficiency, 7% greater lift capacity, 3% faster cycle times and improved seviceability, says the company. To achieve compliance with the latest emission legislation the engine makes use of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and diesel particulate filter technology. A new variable geometry turbocharger provides high velocity air flow at lower rpm for clean efficient combustion and power even when the excavator performs precision tasks at slow speeds.

In standard configuration, the 210XS has a maximum reach of 9.9 m (32.5 ft) and a maximum dig depth of 6.7 m (21.8 ft). When fitted with long reach equipment, this increases to 15.6 m (51.2 ft) and 12 m (39.5 ft) respectively.

The new cab offers 5% more space, with improved visibility to the right hand side, and features a LED colour monitor for machine function menus and a rear-view camera fitted as standard. Optional side-view cameras are also available. To ensure maximum uptime, an onboard diagnostic system alerts the operator to potential issues.
