Nicholls, who joined the company in 2017 as Business Development Manager, has served as its Managing Director since 2021.
Tru7, which described the appointment as “a significant leadership transition”, said he brings a background that blends elite motocross competition and entrepreneurial drive.
A statement from Tru7 said: “Over the past few years Jake has been instrumental in the development and expansion of the group’s contracting divisions, as well as a key driving force behind Tru7’s apprenticeship scheme.
“Jake’s leadership style reflects the values instilled by his father and grandfather – a passion for excellence, a deep respect for tradition, and a relentless focus on progress. His appointment signals a bold step forward for Tru7, as we continue to expand our services across construction, demolition, aggregates, and plant hire.”
The company also announced that outgoing CEO Guy Nicholls is to step into the role of Group Chairman in a move it said reinforces its commitment to “continuity, innovation, and long-term growth.”
As Chairman, he will continue to guide the company’s long-term strategy and mentor the leadership team.
